Salary: Circa £45,000 plus
The Role
Itad’s Business Development Manager plays a key role in supporting the management of the Business Development teams, and the successful delivery of our BD objectives. This role supports our growth through managing the process of identifying business opportunities, building relationships and developing proposals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effective line management of Business Development team members;
- Managing all aspects of the bidding process;
- Coordinating the preparation and submission of key proposals;
- Managing the process of identifying bidding opportunities;
- Monitoring and improving bidding processes;
- Ensuring Itad quality standards are met;
- Marketing Itad to external partners and associates.

What next
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working in business development preparing technical and financial business tenders
- Experience of line managing others and working effectively in a team
- Comfortable sharing information to help key stakeholders develop they understanding and learning
- Demonstrated experience in ensuring that quality standards and processes are applied
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills
- Excellent administrative and organisation skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident in building new and existing relationships with external consultants, associates and partners, in strategic areas, working with internal consultants and Theme Convenors
- Experienced in working with a wide range of backgrounds and cultures
- Excellent IT skills including high level of competence with Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a varying workload
- Lead on developing BD knowledge management systems and processes for sharing learning mechanisms to enhance the interface between Itad and our external clients, partners and associates
- Confident in negotiating, with a commercial acumen
- Excellent skills in developing budgets and commercial proposals
Desirable
- An excellent understanding of the international development landscape, and preferably have experience of developing business opportunities for clients such as the FCDO, multilaterals, UN agencies and foundations.
