Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Spiritual Leadership: Maintain Christ-centeredness in both individual and corporate life. Actively engage in spiritual disciplines such as devotions, chapel, prayer, and worship, and incorporate World Vision (WV) Core Values into decision-making within your role; lead devotions and prayer within your team.
- Collaborative Event Design: Work closely with clients, internal partners, and division leaders to create World Vision signature event experiences. These should align with donor and partner interests, expectations, and fundraising goals, informed by segment insights.
- Event Management: Lead and manage specialized, multi-meeting events that promote WV’s ministry and transform donor and partner engagement. Utilize channel fundraising strategies, segment insights, and donor journey understanding to design aligned events. Partner with product and program teams to integrate key messages and claims.
- Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the entire lifecycle of multiple events, from design and planning to implementation and post-event reporting. This includes stakeholder meetings, workstream meetings, and executive reviews. Maintain a master schedule tracking tasks, milestones, timelines, and budgets.
- Event Production: Direct all aspects of event production, including speaker selection, multimedia components, and marketing elements. Guide speakers to deliver on event strategy and fundraising objectives, and develop scripts and fundraising appeals.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage communication and workflow between internal and external partners, vendors, clients, and volunteers. Oversee logistics such as facility selection, food and beverage, décor and design, event registration, transportation, and contract negotiations.
- Performance Analysis: Gather and analyze post-event results to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements for future events.
- Technical Expertise: Apply technical skills to produce virtual and hybrid events using various online platforms, design event websites, operate registration software and use best technical tools for effective event planning and communication.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to Event Managers on program development, event design and production, procedures, and new technologies.
- Additional Responsibilities: Lead event team special improvement projects. Collaborate with team members and perform other duties as assigned. Stay informed of corporate goals, objectives, and policies, seeking clarity as needed.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (eight years)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale event planning/management
- Candidates may also be considered for a Senior Event Manager based on the experience and qualifications.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring:
- Experience in negotiating contracts for venues, vendors, and services
- Proven track record of successful event strategy development and execution
- Experience in a non-profit or faith-based organization is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- A creative ability to design and decorate for most impactful event experiences
- Experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Familiarity with World Vision’s mission and core values is advantageous
- A detailed and a strategic planner with the ability to focus on the big vision while moving forward the small details and multiple projects at once.
- Preferred experience with virtual and hybrid events.
Salary Range & Benefits:
- WVUS Pay Grade Level: 224
- The estimated hiring range is $75,000.00 – $88,000.00
- The full earning capabilities for the Event Manager position is $69,355.72 to $108,024.63.
- The Senior Event Manager role would earn more based on experience and will be discussed with qualified candidates.
- This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Seattle and Washington D.C. office. A different range may apply based on your work location and may result in a lower offer.
