Cadmus seeks a full-time Lead Business Development Specialist to support its Public Sector Division. This person will play a key role in helping the team achieve its growth goals and will collaborate directly with technical, operations, growth, and marketing staff across the company. The person in this role will support the identification and tracking of opportunities, help to build and maintain the pipeline, support capture and proposal teams, develop reports and track metrics, and respond to ad hoc business development needs.

- Provide support to division and account leadership throughout the business development lifecycle, including identification, qualification, capture and proposal development.
- Identify and monitor potential opportunities using a variety of databases, including government procurement forecasts, SAM.gov, eBuy, FedConnect, GovWin IQ, GovTribe, etc.
- Coordinate the review of potential opportunities across a group of diverse stakeholders, tracking input and action items.
- Monitor the integrity of pipeline data, ensuring that opportunity owners keep the data up to date.
- In collaboration with account and opportunity owners, conduct research needed to inform account management, capture, and proposal efforts (budget and market research, client details, competitive analysis, partner identification, etc.).
- Develop ad-hoc and recurring reports (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to help measure progress against goals.
- Support and coordinate pipeline review, qualification, and account meetings.
- Provide guidance and reminders about business development policies and procedures.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to build relationships and explore new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace.
- Critical thinking and analytic capabilities, with the ability to solve ambiguous business problems by creating structure, collecting relevant data, and generating actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently, with effective communication skills to work across cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with the interest and ability to learn more advanced skills.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other comparable CRM systems.
- Familiarity with Federal government contracting and business development terminology.
- Minimal domestic travel may be required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $85,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
