About This Role |
Responsible for providing leadership in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of the Socio-economic Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Sri Lanka through Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID)- Phase 3 project to be implemented in the districts of Puttalam, Mannar and Nuwara Eliya. It includes oversight of the budget, staff management, stakeholder management, and capacity development of partners. He/She will be accountable for the execution of activities as defined in the project proposal, timely submission of donor reports, sharing the lessons learnt, and ensuring the program quality standards. |
Required Experience and Education |
- Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Sociology, Development Studies or related field. Equivalent education and relevant work experience maybe acceptable in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years experience in managing community development programs. Previous experience in managing projects in disability inclusion will be advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities |
- Lead the Planning, implementing, and monitoring of the project activities.
- Manages the human resources of the project including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
- Accountable for the procurement of services and resources according to ChildFund policy and for budget tracking and expenditure according to the plan and budget.
- Maintains strong pro-active relationships with key stakeholders in the project area, including government.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate systems and procedures to ensure compliance with donor contracts. Ensure best practice is communicated, followed and shared in all aspects of grants management.
- Meets implementation requirements in accordance with ChildFund’s and donor’s standards.
- Supports the Program Director and GIM in maintaining efficient donor relationship management. provides appropriate and timely feedback to ensure they are fully informed of project progress and success.
- Leads the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project in collaboration with ChildFund’s Monitoring and Evaluation and Finance departments and implementing partners
- Manages the preparation and submission of reports required by donors and other stake holders, liaising with all necessary stakeholders and ensure all requirements and deadlines are met, are produced to a high standard, comply with guidelines, deadlines, contracts and other donor requirements.
